sonyarenée jewelry was created in 2002 by Gina Renée Peranio.

Gina has been creating jewelry for herself and others since 1995 when she took a class on macramé and started selling hemp jewelry to her high school peers. She continued as an entrepreneur throughout college while getting her Bachelors degree in Public Relations & Marketing while dodging tumbleweeds and sandstorms at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. While attending Tech initially on a soccer scholarship, Gina maintained a small side business and sold her handmade creations to fellow dorm residents while attending mandated 6 a.m. weight-training, wind-sprints and having general disdain for any type of authority or schedule as a college freshman.
After graduating from Texas Tech in 2001 Gina entered the business world and still maintained her passion for jewelry making. After working in commercial real estate for several years in Downtown Dallas, she realized her true passion for jewelry design and began to focus more time on expanding her emerging line. In January 2007 Gina participated in her first major trade show. Finding success, she was able to leave the corporate world and devote 100% of her time and passion to sonyarenée Jewelry. Today sonyarenée is sold in over 600 retail outlets across the U.S. and overseas. It is consistently featured in fashion magazines, tv & cinema, & worn by celebs.
